I’ve loved rocks and gemstones and shells for as long as I can remember. I spent countless hours of my childhood gathering and studying rocks. Sometimes I took rocks from my collection door-to-door on little traveling exhibits around my neighborhood.
While walking on the beach in Hana, Maui in 1996 a wave deposited a perfect cowry shell on my foot. It felt magical and auspicious, so I made it into a pendant. I’ve been designing and making jewelry for the sheer joy of it ever since. My work was featured in a juried show in San Francisco, and it has sold well in boutiques in Hawaii, California, and Arizona.
